- Let's Get It Together -

I posted this under Fanart > Anime/Manga because these are not my characters and the original comic was done in manga format.

OKAY. I'm very pleased to have finally completed this, and always glad to upload a new deviation. This is a piece I've been working on for well over a week now as fanart for ~copyrezo because I fell in love with his comics. After seeing an ad for his website, Kiwis by Beat!, the interesting art style intrigued me, and I was drawn to make a visit there. I soon found an extreme fondness for his comics, the like of which being minus, Violence Salaryman Teppei!, The Life of Ben Wilson, Ace Reporter, various other comics in his 2006 Comics Revue, and his children's book, Regarding the Acquisition of Hats. However, as much as I loved these stories, none of them stood out to me as much as his story, Let's Get It Together - Ribald Youth.

The characters in this story are easily likeable and have a deepness to them that you can't help but become immersed in. The tale of young Mayo, a grade schooler who strangely developed a habit of smoking, and her friends Urara, Gomada, Inuosuke, and others is really much more interesting than it sounds. Although the comic seems to have no plot at first, you come to understand and feel compassion for each and every one of these characters in a way never before thought possible. The style of it all and the way it's told makes it all seem too realistic, which is why I have to proclaim this story as my favorite of his thus far. I recommend that all of you go to kiwisbybeat.com and read this comic, as well as many of Ryan's other stories! You won't soon be disappointed! ^^
